System Veritas helps businesses reduce carbon emissions by providing expert knowledge and direction in applying ISO 14067, the international standard for quantifying and reporting the carbon footprint of products. We assist organisations in conducting life cycle analyses, formulating targeted carbon footprint reduction plans, and preparing comprehensive product carbon footprint reports.

What is ISO 14067?

ISO 14067 is the international standard that sets out the principles, requirements, and guidelines for quantifying and reporting the carbon footprint of a product (CFP), in a manner consistent with life cycle assessment (LCA) standards ISO 14040 and ISO 14044.

The standard focuses exclusively on a single environmental category — climate change — and does not extend to social, economic, or other environmental considerations.

Why is ISO 14067 Used?

ISO 14067 provides a structured methodology for calculating a product's carbon footprint across its entire life cycle. It offers detailed GHG classification and requirements specific to each stage of a product's life cycle, equipping businesses with the insights needed to make informed decisions on GHG emissions, reductions, and removals.

As consumer and market demand for environmentally responsible products continues to grow, businesses are increasingly turning to quantified carbon footprint data as a means of demonstrating accountability and gaining a meaningful competitive edge.
